West Midlands Languages Strategy

The Regional Languages Strategy outlines the actions needed to ensure the West Midlands is a competitive region in terms of international trade, inward investment and social inclusion.

The West Midlands Languages Strategy was developed by Advantage West Midlands together with their regional partners and CILT, the National Centre for Languages. It was developed in response to a regional audit which concluded that West Midlands businesses were missing out on international trade opportunities due to language and cultural barriers and there were not enough young people studying languages.

This strategy outlines the key actions needed to enable the region to increase international trade, maintain high levels of inward investment and achieve social inclusion.
