Audio Visual Translation Workshop: Translating Corporate Films 20 June 2008
This day event, held at the University of Salford, is designed to inform students and professionals about the techniques and strategies required to tackle the translation of audiovisual material.
With the increasing use of video to promote goods and services, advertise a corporate image and communicate information, professional translators are frequently faced with the task of translating corporate video material, yet the vast majority have never received any training for this highly specialised kind of work.
This workshop aims to outline the problems involved in translating corporate films and the strategies required to solve them.
