Regional Training Day for Community Languages Teachers - 04 October 2008
Our Languages, in partnership with the CILT Comenius network, is offering 8 full-day regional training days to provide upskilling in pedagogy for all community languages teachers in both the complementary/supplementary and mainstream school sectors.
The topics of plenaries will be chosen from a list which includes creativity, developing schemes of work, assessment for learning, teaching with PowerPoint and promoting thinking skills. Every event will also host a workshop on obtaining QTS and a presentation on Asset Languages.
The West Midlands training day will take place at Moseley School, College Road, Moseley, Birmingham B13 9LR from 09.30 - 15.30.
Speakers include Chetana Shah ‘Exploiting traditional tales to teach Community languages’ and Vicky Grammatikopoulou ’Making the most of the mother tongue’.
The course is provided FREE of charge but registration is required to secure your place.
