Keele University
Keele University offers a large range of language courses to Keele students and staff. With the increasing demand for language and culture learning in their local area they have opened many courses to anyone who wishes to update their language skills.
The University also provides several pathways to obtain a Certificate in Language Studies and a Certificate in Competence, for those wishing to obtain a qualification. For further information visit their website.
Amongst the courses offered are French, Spanish and German, taught at beginners’, intermediate, advanced and Post-A level. Russian is offered to intermediate level, depending on demand and Japanese is offered to advanced level.
The German Section at Keele provides one-to-one and small-group language tuition for business clients. Courses are tailor made to meet the demands of clients and are normally taught by Keele staff to ensure high standards of tuition. The English Language Unit at Keele offers two types of English Language Teacher Training Programmes – a short week-long introductory session and a part-time two year programme leading to the Trinity College Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). Many of the courses will take place on Wednesdays, 12-2pm and meet for two hours, although additional times and dates are available. All classes take place on the Keele campus and participants are taught alongside Keele students. Early registration is essential particularly for Beginners' classes.
