Indonesia round table forum - 02 September 2010

Chris Wren, The Executive Director of the British Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia, will be chairing a round-table forum at the North Staffs Chamber of Commerce on 2 September 2010.

The event will provide an opportunity for companies already trading with Indonesia, or companies with Indonesia as a target market to listen to Chris’s knowledge on the country and ask specific questions about how to develop business in Indonesia.

Business Link West Midlands and UK Trade and Investment are hosting a free business event to help you and your business learn about exporting for the first time. Held on 8th September from 08.30 - 12 noon at the Clarendon Suite, Edgbaston in Birmingham, this event will offer advice on how to start exporting, demonstrate real life case studies and give delgates the chance to network with like-minded businesses, all eager to expand their products overseas.

China market visit: 13 - 17 September 2010

Companies are invited to join a market visit to China being organised by Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce and supported by UK Trade & Investment. China's growing market presents many opportunities for UK businesses and this trade mission will give local companies the benefits of having an experienced market visit manager throughout the visit, support from International Trade Advisors and the reduced costs of traveling as a group.

Monaco Yacht Show trade mission: 22 - 25 September 2010

The 20th Monaco Yacht Show offers opportunities for yacht designers and consultants, UK boat builders and those supplying components to the marine industry. Delegates will have the chance to meet some of the world's leading super yacht manufacturers and will have the support of a French speaking International Trade Advisor before, during and after the visit.

Market visit to Bangladesh: 04 - 09 October 2010

The West Midlands Minority Ethnic Business Forum is organising a market visit to Bangladesh. Delegates will have the opportunity to have one-to-one meetings and tailor their own individual programme to include an optional visit to Kolkatta, India. This programme is funded by ERDF, there is an available £1000 intervention towards a minimum spend of £2000 towards the cost of Travel, Accommodation, Marketing, Training and Subsistence.

Market visit to Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta: 09 - 17 October 2010

Companies are invited to join a market visit to Kuala Lumpur and/or Jakarta - they can either join the whole of the delegation or simply visit Kuala Lumpur or Jakarta. Delegates will benefit from new contacts and shared intelligence as well as having excellent networking opportunities through the support of the British Embassy and participation in a West Midlands UK Trade & Investment market visit.

This visit will be particularly useful for small and medium sized West Midlands businesses, who are actively seeking to engage overseas partners and/ or win business in markets outside the UK.

Trade mission to Shanghai, Nanjing and Shenyang: 16 - 23 October 2010

Businesses are invited to participate in a sports & leisure trade mission to Shanghai, Nanjing & Shenyang in China. Delegates will have the support of a Chinese speaking International Trade Adviser, one-to-one meetings with potential business partners and excellent networking opportunities.

Eligible companies will receive a £750 grant towards the cost of travel and accommodation.

Market visit to Hong Kong and Taipei: 08 - 12 November 2010

Companies are invited to join a market visit to Hong Kong and Taipei led on behalf of the West Midlands by Coventry & Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce. Delegates will benefit from the services of an experienced market visit manager, access to market research and an online visit brochure featuring all participants, which will be circulated widely in both markets.

An ERDF grant of £1,000 is available to eligible companies.

Exhibiting Abroad: Keys to Success - 10 November 2010

This full day is a detailed examination of the complexities of planning and running an exhibition stand. Delegates will hear real examples and learn practical tips on setting up, publicity and the literature needed for their stand. This event will be held at North Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce, Stoke on Trent, on 10 November 2010 from 09.30 - 16.30.
