The Regional Language Network West Midlands supports and promotes the work of language and cultural professionals in the region. Whether you provide translation or interpreting services, language training or cultural consultancy, the RLN can help you to make the most of your language skills.
Providers Database
The RLN holds details of language and cultural service providers in the West Midlands. This information, including the services you offer and your contact details, is used to refer local companies who contact us requiring help with language and cultural issues.
All providers who were previously registered on the BLIS Professionals database are now included on this spreadsheet. The RLN will continue to hold details of these providers as well as inviting new applications for inclusion (subject to quality assurance checks).

Survey of Language and Cultural Service Providers 2005
CILT, the National Centre for Languages has recently published its Survey of Language and Cultural Service Providers 2005. Some of the key findings are as follows:
- Financial, IT and legal sectors currently provide language professionals with the most work.
- There is an increase in demand for translation services.
- There is growing demand for cultural training services.
- Demand for Chinese, Russian, Arabic and Japanese is growing.
- The language services sector is dominated by small companies and sole traders.
